What is Group Psychotherapy?
Group psychotherapy (also known as group therapy) is a form of counseling where a small group of individuals meets regularly, guided by a therapist, to explore their challenges, build insight, and support each other.
Alongside individual therapy, many of my clients find that group therapy offers something powerful and unique: the opportunity to be seen, heard, and understood by others who are navigating similar experiences. In group therapy, clients share openly, offer mutual support to others, give and receive feedback, and grow through meaningful, real-time, connection.
Friends and family may care deeply, but they often aren’t sure how to offer the kind of support we need. Group therapy creates a space where you receive support from others who truly understand what you’re going through.
