In Pembroke Pines, FL and Online

If you’ve completed a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), transitioning into outpatient therapy is an important step in maintaining your progress and continuing your recovery.
Outpatient therapy helps youbuild on the progress you already made and address any longer-term goals.
You don’t have to wait until things start to feel unmanageable to begin outpatient therapy after PHP/IOP. Establishing a relationship with an outpatient therapist before discharging from PHP/IOP can help prevent setbacks and support a smoother adjustment.
Stepping down from PHP or IOP?
Free Initial Consultation Before Discharge
If you are preparing for discharge from a PHP or IOP program, Unbound Psychotherapy can help support a smooth transition into outpatient care and reduce gaps in treatment. Scheduling an initial consultation prior to discharge allows us to begin planning continued support so you can maintain the progress you’ve made.
When appropriate, a collaborative coordination call with your PHP or IOP treatment team can also be arranged to review your progress, clarify ongoing goals, and support continuity of care.
Trauma Treatment
Trauma is often an underlying factor in the symptoms that lead people to seek higher levels of care like PHP or IOP. Depression, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorder behaviors, and substance use can develop as ways of coping with traumatic experiences.
As you transition into outpatient therapy, working with a therapist who specializes in trauma can help you move beyond symptom management and begin addressing root causes. This deeper work can support long-term healing and help you maintain the progress you made in treatment.
